The book was inspired by the author (a McKinsey partner) turning 50 and looking for the spark of meaning and passion she had observed in many successful and fulfilled women leaders. She took on the task of creating Centered Leadership Project. Based on hundreds of interviews and quantitative research, it lays out the 5 components for success and fulfillment at work and life: Meaning, Framing, Connecting, Engaging, Energizing. I resonated with this book as it confirms how women are energized by different motivators than men and created a useful framework for engaging women leaders in the workplace. A must read for women and any leader who wants to unleash potential in their women leaders.
